So, what's been going on with us the last few months? After a wonderful holiday season (and a week off of work for me!), we started 2010 in full 'get ready for Grady' mode. Since then, I've visited pediatricians, and successfully chosen one. We've visited daycares, and successfully chosen one. Then, that changed when we (and by 'we' I mean MOM) found a wonderful lady in the neighborhood to keep Grady. Grady's room is coming along slowly but surely. And last, but most fun of all, Grady has had some wonderful showers thanks to our fabulous friends and family!
Grady's first shower was from Mom and Dad's Sunday School class fellowship group. Grady is the first grandchild for all of the couples in the fellowship group - so nice of them to think of us! Then, Katie and Courtney threw Grady a fabulous shower with no details missed! It was so much fun and perfect in every way! My favorite part about it was that we had brunch and since being pregnant, breakfast food is all I've wanted to eat :)
Then, a few weeks later, my work surprised...yes, I said surprised me with a shower at the Puffy Muffin. I was absolutely shocked and it was a blast. The food was wonderful (of course) and the cake was even better and absolutely precious. I can't believe they pulled it off, but glad they did. Lastly, Mom had her very own grandmother shower. It was so much fun and Mom got some good stuff for Grady. I'm quite certain he'll like her house more than mine with all the fun toys and books that she got. I don't think there's anyone more ready to be a grandmother than Mom. Now...if she could just pick a name. Ahem.
Overall, we are so ready for Grady to join our family. I'm 35 weeks pregnant now and I can't believe that in about a month, the little guy will join us. Considering all things, I've had a wonderful pregnancy. No throwing up, no major tiredness, no major mood swings (at least that's what Chris says...), and no crazy cravings. I'm thinking these next few weeks just have to get really bad, but so far, I still feel good!!
